Good luck is surely with me this morning.  As I wandered around looking for a fun Monday meme, I happened upon XmasDolly's blog, right smack on the Monday's Music Moves Me post which just happens to have a theme of international music this week!  Seeing that this blog is about all things -- well, most things is a more accurate description -- Egyptian, I stopped looking for memes and started scouring YouTube for videos instead.  And the luck continued because not only did I find a good song, but I managed to track down a video that has the lyrics translated from Arabic into English right on the screen!  Positively providential I tell you!

P.S. you might enjoy this two part Podcast, it is an interview with a young lady who lived in Egypt, and unfortunately, experienced the bombing, years ago, it forever changed her life.

  4. Now, Arabic music is something I haven't actually listened to before. Okay, I've heard some in movies and that's about it. This is really neat sound, though. I like that your video has the English translation. What an interesting groove you brought to the Love Train with your pick! Thanks for joining us today! =D
